David Lintine

As an elected member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE associate), David has exhibited work throughout the whole of the UK and twice at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
Born in 1957, David studied at the Chelsea School of Art, and the Slade School of Fine Art. As well as producing the most captivating etchings he also lectures in Essex.
David's refined technique allows the viewer the opportunity to explore varying degrees of light and dark, shadow and depth in his work. 'In these works' says David 'I aim to create harmonious compositions from the uncluttered spaces of public buildings' The eye is therefore drawn to the subtleties of composition, and therefore the atmosphere that is portrayed, rather than the trivia of ornament.

'Although I always represent specific interior spaces, formal considerations are paramount to me. Amongst many, I particularly admire the work of the 17th Century Dutch painter Pieter do Hooch'
