Lithography and silkscreen with hand stencil. Printed at Peacock Visual Arts 2012 by Linsay Croall in an edition of 25 with  5 artists proofs. 44 X 57cm.Published by the artist on Hannemuller hand made paper.

A few years ago when I was Professor of Printmaking at the Royal College of Art I started a series of small lithographs based on fairy tales and apocryphal stories. I called the series of 7 images "Tales". For what may be my last session at the Peacock in Aberdeen I produced 2 more. The series has always depended on misspelling or abbreviated titles. "The Princess has a pea" trades precisely in this area, incorporating Jack and the Beanstalk, Imelda Marcos shoe collection and the cat and the carp, which must be an unwritten Aesop's fable. The gritty swirling design exploits the tactile graphic quality of stone lithography (for more on litho process look at the film LithORRgraphy on my website). There is of course a cricket bat and other Chris Orr staples: a rubber hot water bottle, a train set, bras and knickers, a plastic duck, a trumpet and Thomas the Tank

Engine. produced at the same time but not in the RA Summer Exhibition 2013 is the lithograph "Robin Hoo?" That can be viewed on the website.
