Sonia Rollo was educated at the university of Glasgow, graduating in 1968 with a degree in Botany. She worked for several years in Publishing as the editor of a scientific journal.
With a background in biology, there is no wonder that Sonia's work
captures the very essence of her subjects, bringing them to life on
paper, time and time again.
Her interest in animals
started in childhood with a pig called Hilary and two geese called
Charlie and Cassandra.
In 1985 she started studying
printmaking at Morley College and since 1993, Sonia has exhibited
throughout the UK. He work has been selected on many occasions for
the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, frequently selling out
completely.
Sonia is now a member of both Greenwich
Printmakers and the Printmakers Council for which she was a past
vice-chair. She is also a founder member of Half Moon Printmakers.
