Elizabeth Thomas

Elizabeth Thomas is a printmaker and painter with a studio overlooking the Exe Estuary in a Devon Village. Born in Guildford, an artistic influence was her father, a caricaturist and cartoonist who took the family to art galleries and filled the house with work and books on art.

Elizabeth is currently a mature student in her second year of a BA Fine Art Degree, she says, ‘When I first started printmaking it felt like coming home, I had found such an embracing medium.’

Her portfolio contains; collographs made with found materials and carborundum, intaglio, relief and viscosity prints and monoprints.

Elizabeth’s work has recently been exhibited at the Plough Arts Centre, North Devon in the Double Elephant Printmakers Exhibition.
