Rebecca Gouldson fell in love with etching, and the magic of capturing images on the surface of metal whilst studying
metalworking. Since then Rebecca has used etching, alongside an ever-growing
palette of metal colouring and finishing techniques, to find new ways to work
with images in a variety of metals, including copper, brass, zinc and gilding
metal.
Her main influences include both
the built environment and the natural landscape, often using
drawing, printmaking and photography as a starting point to investigate particular
themes, or subjects.
Gouldson has also worked to commission with a diverse range of
clients, to create bespoke and meaningful artworks for private interiors,
corporate spaces, super yachts, hotels, schools, public museums and more
recently, architectural facades. Clients include Barclays Wealth, Tiffany &
Co, Legal & General, Lidl & Warburg Pincus.
