Jeffery
Edwards was born in London in 1945 and studied at Leeds College of Art, 1964 -
67, and The Royal College of Art, 1967 - 70, where he won the MA prize for
Printmaking.
Since showing at The Venice Bienalle in 1970 he exhibited
widely in Europe and The USA, taking on many high profile advertising commissions. Represented by Flowers East, he exhibited in london through the 90s.
Living and working in London, he was appointed Senior Lecturer in
Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design in 1998. His work is full of intrigue, often dark humour and is instantly recognisable. His current portfolio utilises modern day printmaking techniques and remains every bit as compelling as that which won him many accolades in the late 20th century.
Public Collections - Tate Gallery, V&A, Arts Council GB,
