Vincent Wilson was born in Mold, North Wales, and trained at Chester School of Art and Liverpool College of Art. He lived and worked for some years in North Wales and Lancashire, but in 1962 he moved to Cornwall and now has his studio in Saltash. He has produced etchings and aquatints since 1970, as an extension of his work as a painter.

Vincent has exhibited widely over many years including one man exhibitions amongst others at the City Art Gallery in Plymouth, the Brewhouse in Taunton and St Anne's College in Oxford. His work has also been shown in mixed collections at the Royal Academy and the Royal West of England Academy. He was involved in the highly succesful 'A Printmakers Flora' exhibition at the Devon Guild and later at the Thackery Gallery, London.

He is a full member of the Penwith Society of Arts and the Newlyn Society of Artists and he exhibits regularly with them.

Vincent was elected a member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen in 1995.
