The Black Rock sits in the Atlantic, ten miles west of
Blacksod Point, and is the most westerly land of County
Mayo. Its lighthouse, along with those on Eagle Island and
Blacksod Point, mark the sea roads into Blacksod Bay and
the Mullet Islands.
