From a commission of four lithographs showing different aspects of the Royal Academy. Bernard Dunstan produced these prints in collaboration with Stanley Jones who is one of the finest Master Printers of this century . The other titles in the series are Musician's in the Courtyard, Private View(also available from the gallery) and The Royal Academy Schools Life Room.

The Friend's Room exemplifies the range of effects which lithography can capture, from light washes of colour to broad brushwork and from powdery touches of chalk to energetic scribbled crayon.
