This was the first plate started in this series. Mychael was at a riverside pub with his wife when out of he corner of our eyes we spied something, possibly a heron, drop down into the centre of the river. When asked what he thought it was he replied’ I don’t know, Icarus?’

This series encompasses varying takes on the term urban myth. They range from popular London urban myths and famous legends or people to deconstructed classical mythology in urban settings. They employ a variety of processes including drypoint, etching, aquatint, spit-biting, sugar-lift and carborundum and are all printed on tea-stained Japanese gampi chine-colle.
